With the dancers sharing the moment on stage with musicians from Baden-Baden, will the audience in Prague distinguish between flesh-and-blood artists and holograms?Can we travel between different realities, can we be concurrently now here and another time elsewhere? Is it possible to lead a dialogue beyond time and space, shift the limits of perception, and raise questions within artistic and cultural experience, as well as humanity at large?The production directed by Jana Günther at XR combines three premieres: of a new work created by the stellar Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti for the Czech National Ballet; an electronic soundtrack by Sven Helbig as a contemporary update of Franz Schubert’s Death and the Maiden; as well Moritz Mayerhofer’s animations, adding a cinematic element, bringing into play and opening up a visual meta dimension.
